MCC Pre-Pride and Pride Events

As Pride approaches, please join us in preparation to proclaim God’s love to all:

Prayer: With Pride less than 3 weeks away will you commit to a month of prayer for those in our community who do not know the Lord. Let us pray together in groups or alone, that God will open hearts and send us those who do not know the love of Christ.

Prayer Walks: Sat Jun 12 8:30 – 10:00 AM
Groups will walk the parade route and Druid Hill Park to ask God to OPEN THE HEAVENS and to claim these places for the Lord.

“Stop Kiss”: One act play Tues Jun 15 8 PM
Stop Kiss is a contemporary play concerning issues of homophobia, violence, love and identity. After Callie and Sara meet, their fast friendship leads to an unexpected attraction. Their first kiss provokes a violent attack that transforms their lives in a way they could never anticipate. Tickets $10 at the door.

JASON AND DEMARCO AT MCCB PRIDE WEEKEND

Posted May 2004

Sunday morning Worship June 20, 2004 10:00 AM

Jason and deMarco's music redefines what many think of as Spiritual. They have an ability to somehow touch everyone with their music, reaching across normal stylistic and spiritual boundaries. It seems to transcend whatever notions you may have about what Spiritual or contemporary means. Jason and deMarco's passion for their purpose and refreshing exuberance toward their craft create a high-impact music experience that will surely make a difference in the lives of all who experience it. Their music combines elements of both Inspirational and Pop genres which led them to name their style "Spirit Pop", pop music for the spirit. Acoustic guitar is the common thread that ties together all 12 songs on the album and their vocal style and harmonies are amazing. They are excited about the path before them and they invite you to join them on this journey!

Please take a moment to visit their website www.jasonanddemarco.com to listen to audio clips and much more!
